Metallica - Prince Charming

「Reload」(97)から " Prince Charming " を私訳。この曲の歌詞には「何にでも成れるが何にも成れない「俺」」「笑っているが実は笑われている「俺」」が出てきます。恐らくそれが当時の「メンバーから見たメタリカ像」そのものなのかも知れません。そう思う理由がこの曲につけられた " Prince Charming " =「理想の男」というタイトルと歌詞の内容とのギャップ。「この時期の彼等だから作れた曲」という気がします。
