「Highway To Hell」(79) からタイトル・トラックを私訳。バンドとしての人気が右肩上がりになっている時、彼等は連日ステージに立つ毎日を送っていた。そんな終わりが見えないツアーの中でボン・スコットはその心境を書き留めようと思い立ち、この曲を書き上げた。

だから恐らく、サビの部分の " I'm on a highway to hell " は「地獄へのハイウェイ＝地獄のように思える忙しい日々を送っている、一生懸命生きてんだよ」って感じだろうし、冒頭の " Season ticket for a one way ride " で「人生」を「シーズン・チケット」に例えているのもボン・スコットらしいd^^b
